YAR'ADUA'S PUBLIC ASSETS DECLARATION

Only a president Yar’Adua is clinically capable of understanding that corruption have consequences and that he could take the right action - PRESIDENT'S PUBLIC ASSETS DECLARATION. Yar’Adua has just sent exactly the right signal to the country and to other political leaders in Nigeria. In Yar’dua's Nigeria, it is apparently okay for a president to publicly declare his assets instead of hiding under the cloak of political immunity for corruption gains, mislead and misrule to the Nigerian people.

For this action, we commend Yar’Adua!

The Nigerian political elites and their cronies may think that they are above the law and the rest of us live with the consequences of their corrupt act. The cause of equality under the law should be applicable to everyone and all Nigerian political leaders should follow the footsteps of Yar’Adua and declare their assets publicly. Failure to do so will be a contravention of the code of conduct of public officers and they should be made to face the consequences of the law. The lame duck EFCC should please take note and take ACTION!

It's definitely is a nice step for him to take, hopefully it was taken in the right direction. The important thing however is not about himd declaring his assets. He should create an image of a performing President. He's fast acquiring the pseudoname: Mr Go-Slow. And it's very obvious where the concerns of teh citizenry stems from.

Months into his illegal adminstration, he's still to name members of his cabinet. Now, they're trying to remove opposition completely from the system by offering to accomodate the opposition in a so-called Unity Government.

I'll continue to say it. Obasanjo is still in power by proxy. His recent party coup tells it all.

Hope you're doing good today bros. All da best! :)
