Babangida - A Recycled President?

Here is what has been in the Nigerian news this past week! Anyway, with all the political talk on Babangida entering the race to vie for the position of President in Nigeria in the various Nigerian blogs, I thought that I would add in my own 2 cents....I need to emphasize the importance of being informed about the political discourse in Nigeria in protecting our constitution rights as well as our civil liberties as a nation. No matter what kind of activity you are involving yourself in.....We should all get involved in fashioning a stable and vibrant democracy in Nigeria.....don't be counted on the statistics of those sitting on the sidelines while despot hijack our nascent and ever evolving democracy!

IBB's track record:
Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, a.k.a, IBB, is popularly called Maradona by Nigerians for his special skill to cheat and divert, in the fashion of Argentina's soccer genius, Diego Maradona, who infamously cheated to earn victory over England in the 1986 World Cup. A self-described 'evil genius,' Babangida led Nigerians through a tortuous and deceptive political and economic transition that ended in a cul-de-sac. Perhaps because of his craftiness, it wasn't until the end of his military career that the dictator's ruthlessness and lust for power became obvious.

Enough of the name bashing! You will find an interesting and very informative read on IBB and how we can STOP him in his tracks in becoming the next recycled president of Nigeria -
HERE

Check it out and let us know what you think about this man called IBB!
